Our Story of Love & Rescue

Sneha Animal Shelter & Care Center was founded in Chinchwad Gaon, Pune, with a simple yet powerful belief — every animal deserves compassion, dignity, and a safe place to call home. What started as a small shelter with just three rescued dogs has grown into one of the most trusted animal welfare organizations in the Pune region, serving hundreds of animals each year.

Our team of dedicated veterinarians, animal caretakers, and passionate volunteers works around the clock to rescue injured street animals, provide critical medical treatment, and rehabilitate abandoned pets. From emergency rescue operations on the busy streets of Chinchwad to nurturing fragile puppies and kittens back to health, our mission encompasses every aspect of animal care.

We strongly believe that adoption is the key to solving the homeless animal crisis in India. Every animal that comes through our doors receives complete vaccination, deworming, spaying or neutering, and a thorough health checkup before being matched with a loving family. Our post-adoption support program ensures that every adoption is a success story.

Beyond rescue and adoption, we are deeply committed to community education. Our outreach programs in schools and residential societies across Chinchwad Gaon and nearby areas teach children and adults alike about responsible pet ownership, animal kindness, and the importance of sterilization. We also provide free feeding stations and water points for community animals.

Today, our shelter houses over 80 animals at any given time, and our network of foster families extends throughout Pune. We have successfully facilitated more than 1,200 adoptions, treated over 5,000 street animals, and conducted 60+ sterilization camps. But our journey is far from over — every new rescue reminds us why we started, and every happy tail wag fuels our resolve to keep going.
