Flute Sangeet Academy was born in the cultural heart of Coimbatore with one clear vision — to make the bamboo flute accessible to every music lover, regardless of age, background or prior training. What began as a small weekend batch in a living room in R.S. Puram has grown into one of Coimbatore's most respected flute learning destinations, with students joining us from Gandhipuram, Saibaba Colony, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Saravanampatti and beyond.
Our teaching philosophy is rooted in the classical Guru–Shishya tradition, but delivered with a modern, structured curriculum. Every student starts with breath control, embouchure and swara clarity before moving into alankaras, geethams, varnams and keerthanai. We never rush the fundamentals — because a clean, steady tone is what separates a flute player from a flute performer.
At our Coimbatore studio, students learn on carefully selected bamboo flutes in multiple scales, and we also guide beginners on how to choose their first instrument. For learners outside the city or overseas, our live online flute classes on Zoom and Google Meet replicate the same classroom experience — with real-time correction, notation sharing and recorded session access.
We believe music education should be joyful, not mechanical. That is why our sessions blend classical Carnatic flute training with film songs, devotional compositions and light music. Children's batches use rhythm games and simple melodies to build confidence, while advanced students work on raga alapana, tanam, kalpana swaram and stage presence for competitions and concerts.
Today, Flute Sangeet Academy is proud to be a complete musical ecosystem in Coimbatore — offering flute classes, instrument guidance, annual stage showcases, exam preparation and performance coaching. Whether you dream of playing on stage or simply want a peaceful hobby that calms your mind, our gurus will help you breathe life into every note.
